So tonight’s meal was roti de porc aux navets.. which translates to roasted pork and turnips.. I took a little artistic license with this one because it seemed like it would be a little bit bland. I added onions, carrots, and basted with sweet vermouth. The veggies came out great, but there really is something utterly gross about pork roast, no matter how lovingly it’s prepared. I browned it up nicely, roasted it to perfection.. but the bottom line is that the meal was blah at best.
My boyfriend’s exact words: I wouldn’t UN-eat it.
